Baked Apple-Stuffed Pancakes

Kelly — Wed, 09 Sep 2015 11:00:31 +0000

The first day of autumn isn’t for a few weeks, but if Starbucks is selling their pumpkin spice lattes, than I declare it to be fall. Also, the enormous pile of apples in my kitchen declares it to be fall. The last few years I’ve been just swimming in apples from my parents’ trees and […]

Whole Wheat Chai Pancakes

Kelly — Fri, 26 Jun 2015 11:00:56 +0000

I had to work late on Thursday and came home to Josh making pancakes. Not just any pancakes, but pancakes made with chai infused almond milk. Our kitchen smelled incredible and I’ve never had to work so hard to resist the urge to drink pancake batter. And to flip the pancakes for him — apparently […]

Chocolate Chip Cookie Cheesecake Bars + a Giveaway

Kelly — Wed, 15 Apr 2015 11:00:54 +0000

I’m a fan of a lot of things: pancakes, cats, science, desserts, you get the picture. I’m a fan of a wide variety of things and I’m passionate about a lot of those things (like cats and science). But some times, my passions don’t line up with the things I actually like. For example, I’m […]

Whole Wheat Soft Pretzels

Kelly — Mon, 30 Mar 2015 11:00:04 +0000

Can anyone resist soft pretzels? I used to love grabbing a hot buttery pretzel at the mall or eating a dozen at my sister’s in-law’s after a pretzel making party (what, you guys don’t have those?). Well, I used to. The pretzel place in my mall closed and was replaced with froyo, which is just […]

Banana Carrot Muffins

Kelly — Sun, 22 Mar 2015 23:48:19 +0000

Day late on this post — major blog meltdown. If you tried to find any recipes the last day or two, you might’ve noticed my blog was just a blank white screen. No errors, no “oopsies this page isn’t here”, just a straight up white page. That’s also what we saw when I tried to […]

My Favorite Whole Wheat Bread + PBJ Swirl Bread

Kelly — Mon, 10 Nov 2014 12:00:51 +0000

About a year or so ago, I started baking from scratch almost all of the bread that we eat. Bread has always been one of my favorite foods, but the ingredients list on store-bought bread can be pretty scary. Making our own bread a great way to control the ingredients that go in, plus then we always […]

Grated Squash Muffins

Kelly — Fri, 07 Nov 2014 12:00:07 +0000

Normally this is the time of year when I start winding down. True, everyone is busy with prepping for holidays, but all of my studies at work begin to wrap up, yard work comes to a standstill thanks to the eminent snow, and the cold air just makes everything slow. This year? Total opposite. My entire year […]

Chocolate Peanut Butter Pancakes

Kelly — Fri, 03 Oct 2014 11:00:35 +0000

I ran to Target last night and was SHOCKED at the offensive display they had out. Christmas decorations. On October 2nd. In better real estate than the Halloween decorations. What the what?! Maybe I’m a bit of a Grinch because I grew up down the road from the world’s largest Christmas store, but I’d really […]

S’mores Pancakes (Vegan and Whole Grain)

Kelly — Wed, 11 Sep 2013 11:00:50 +0000

There must be something about getting older that makes each year seem shorter than the last. I remember in elementary school that I felt like each year lasted longer than I could wrap my mind around, but now I hardly know what month it is. This might be, in part, because I just realized my […]
