Baked Apple-Stuffed Pancakes

Kelly — Wed, 09 Sep 2015 11:00:31 +0000

The first day of autumn isn’t for a few weeks, but if Starbucks is selling their pumpkin spice lattes, than I declare it to be fall. Also, the enormous pile of apples in my kitchen declares it to be fall. The last few years I’ve been just swimming in apples from my parents’ trees and […]

Whole Wheat Chai Pancakes

Kelly — Fri, 26 Jun 2015 11:00:56 +0000

I had to work late on Thursday and came home to Josh making pancakes. Not just any pancakes, but pancakes made with chai infused almond milk. Our kitchen smelled incredible and I’ve never had to work so hard to resist the urge to drink pancake batter. And to flip the pancakes for him — apparently […]

Overnight Oatmeal Cookie Pancakes

Kelly — Mon, 01 Jun 2015 11:00:11 +0000

Two things I everyone loves: pancakes for breakfast and sleeping in. If it wasn’t for the fact I’d have to get out of bed earlier, I would have pancakes for breakfast erreday. Instead, we have pancakes for dinner more often than I should probably admit. Nothing wrong with a simple, easy meal, right? By some […]

Chocolate Banana Milk

Kelly — Mon, 13 Apr 2015 11:00:11 +0000

Gaze upon the magical goodness that is chocolate-banana milk. Actually, it’s really chocolate hazelnut banana milk, but that’s just details. Delicious details. Which leads me to the double good news about this drink. First off, it’s incredibly delicious. Somewhere between milk and a milkshake in thickness with a punch of banana flavor + chocolate. Creamy, […]

Vegan Funfetti Pancakes

Kelly — Mon, 16 Mar 2015 23:10:46 +0000

Fun fact: I have at least 8 different songs I sing about pancakes on a regular basis. But really, anyone who knows me shouldn’t be surprised. I sing almost everything I do. Feeding my cats? There’s a 100 songs for that. Driving over a bridge? There’s a song for that. Sad? No! Quirky and adorable? […]

Apple Bran Muffins

Kelly — Wed, 22 Oct 2014 11:00:43 +0000

My breakfasts vary with the seasons. In the winter, I like to eat hot oatmeal. In the spring, a piece or two of fruit. Summer, definitely cold cereal or overnight oats. But fall? Fall is the season of the muffin. Or pancakes, if I have time for pancakes. But muffins are basically pancakes in cup […]

Breakfast Pizza with Eggs

Kelly — Fri, 19 Sep 2014 11:00:01 +0000

As everyone gets super into football, I mostly get upset at the idea that a game might run long and cut off one of my favorite shows. Or that people will be talking about it in the hallway and look at me with disdain because I can’t add anything to the conversation (and that I actually […]

Waffle Tacos

Kelly — Fri, 20 Jun 2014 11:00:31 +0000

Has anyone tried the Waffle Tacos at Taco Bell? While I haven’t actually tried one, the idea is incredibly intriguing. I’ve heard mixed reviews of the fast food breakfast– mostly that the waffle leads something to be desired. So rather than trekking out to Taco Bell on a precious Saturday morning, I decided to make […]

Whole Wheat Waffle (vegan)

Kelly — Wed, 18 Jun 2014 11:00:55 +0000

“Oh Kelly, why didn’t you post Monday?” asked no one. Sorry, I was too busy watching the Game of Thrones season finale. After the previous episode, nothing (okay, almost nothing) about this episode surprised me. Should I read the books? Maybe. But considering the fact that I need a fricken diagram to keep all of […]

Lemon Ricotta Pancakes with Strawberry Sauce

Kelly — Mon, 12 May 2014 11:00:13 +0000

I have few philosophies in life, but my number 1 motto is “Always say yes to pancakes”. Very, very rarely will a pancake let you down, because a crappy pancake is still a pancake and pancakes are a miracle food of deliciousness. They’re perfect for brinner after a bad day, breakfast on a special day, […]
