Hi Lindsay, there’s a link right in the ingredient list for a recipe I have for apple butter — this recipe makes a LOT, but it can be canned or frozen. (If you aren’t familiar with apple butter, it’s more like an apple jam that apple sauce, it’s sooo good on toast). In the notes you’ll see that I don’t advise using applesauce in place of apple butter, as apple sauce is very liquidy. It looks like you’re in Canada, but here in the US, apple butter is plentiful at all grocery stores in the fall. I can usually still find it year round in with the jams/jellys of larger stores and some organic markets. Hope that helps.
