Chocolate Mint Iced Tea

July 31, 2015

Is my age showing? I constantly feel like I discover new things that make me feel old (for the record, 26). Waking up today after going to a concert last night and not getting home until 2 am? Old. So old. Not because I slept in until noon (because isn’t that such a 17 year old thing to do?) but because I feel SO bad about sleeping in until noon. And my feet hurt from standing in one place for hours. Ironically, seeing the band that’s been my favorite since high school made me feel so incredibly young last night. Like I’m gonna stay 18 forever.

My friends know that I swear by a glass of chocolate milk the morning after a rough night, but I wanted something more refreshing today. We’re having people over tomorrow so I needed something light and refreshing to motivate me to get out and mow the lawn instead of just sitting on the couch catching up on Big Brother.

(Anyone else see a creepy face in the glass in the picture above???) Tea and milk is a pairing that’s gone together for basically forever, so why not add chocolate milk to tea? This is a little bit of a not-recipe, because do two ingredients ever really make a recipe? Ehh, not really. But consider this permission a demand to try chocolate milk in your tea. It’s definitely making me feel a little younger 😉

That creepy face is in all of the pictures.

I’ve never mixed tea with milk but I love mint and chocolate. It looks and sounds like a great idea so I’m gonna have to give it a try sometime.

Wow, girl! You are a real chef. This recipe is so easy and quick to make! Definitely recommend it to my friends. Perfect drink for Saturday party it is :-).

Oh yes, yes, yes! This makes complete sense! I like making Chai lattes using a chai tea bag and vanilla almond milk, and this chocolate-mint combo is right up my alley. I feel like I have one foot in the grave all the time (29 over here!), so you and I can be old curmudgeons sipping on our chocolate bevvies while watching Big Brother together, deal?

I feel like you’re about to start a trend with this flavored milk + tea awesomeness…which is totally young!

What a great idea! I just happen to have this exact chocolate milk so I am going to try this. I love new combinations and the chocolate and peppermint would work perfectly together.

I feel super guilty too for sleeping past 9 am! Whats up with that?! This tea sounds super refreshing, perfect after a night of indulgence.
