Cook-out Round Up

July 3, 2013

As you can see from the fact that I’ve missed literally every holiday since I started my blog, I don’t really create cutesy foods for holidays.  I have foods I like eating near certain holidays (like egg salad after Easter) and I enjoy finding recipes on other blogs to bring to parties.  I’ve rounded up some of my favorite recipes to bring to cook-outs from my blog and then a few recipes that would be perfect for the holiday from around the interwebs.

Dijon Veggie Couscous

Dijon Veggie Couscous – Serve room temperature for a no-fuss side dish

Super Soft Banana Bread Cookies

Super Soft Banana Bread Cookies – Vegan and gluten free so everyone can enjoy 🙂

Baked Beans

Baked Beans – Fruity twist on a classic, guaranteed crowd pleaser and healthier than your average bean dish

Butternut Squash Mac and Cheese

Butternut Squash Mac and Cheese – Hidden veggies at its finest and creamy like Stouffer’s

Sweet and Savory Lentil Joes

Sweet and Savory Lentil Joes – My first recipe I posted, now with new pictures!

I think I gave you plenty to drool over!  Everyone have a happy holiday (or just a nice weekend if you’re not from the US) and I’ll see you on Monday 🙂

Yes, you definitely did give me a lot to drool over! I hope you had a great 4th!

We’re so similar because I’m also bad about making things specific for holidays and writing about them. Oh, and I posted a post like this today, too.

All of these dishes look delightful, and I really want to try the vegan carrot hot dog. Yum!

You did give me plenty to drool over! I’d be happy with any of these, and thanks for listing my panzanella.

I would like all of that at my cookout tomorrow, please! 🙂 Enjoy your holiday!
